2010 year is the year of the metal Tiger and is the 27th year in the Chinese sixty-year cycle. The New Year of the Tiger – 2010 promises to be interesting in all aspects of life with many wonderful changes and adjustments coming to the fore.
2010 represents a period with serious changes in every sphere of life and as we enter the new decade. Within 2010 and as we approach the completion of the shift in global consciousness as predicted for 2012, we will see many major global changes across just about every aspect of life.
Firstly, a strengthening of the world’s economies (Update: economy) and stock markets (Update: stock markets) as we emerge from the down turn, decisive and fresh politicians will come to power globally, and begin to improve circumstances within their borders.
The property market eases and banks are more confident in returning to offer mortgage deals to young and first-time buyers.
The manufacturing side of the economy steadies but will take another 12-18 months to fully stabilise. Strong news concerning of foreign investments from China, India and Pakistan help to fuel optimism in the recovery, especially in the retail and manufacturing sector of the market.
There will be strong and clear indicators that difficulties in the Middle East settle down as diplomats secure clearer communications between opposing sides, with some very important coalitions being formed to begin serious negotiations for peace.
Our war zones will remain unsettled for much of the first part of the year, but as we approach 2011 a withdrawal of troops will begin, which brings hope to all the families with loved ones in the Forces.

It seems that we will see a number of climatic disturbances which once again demand our support – flood (Update: Madeira, Europe Floods) and earthquake (Update: Haiti, Concepcion, Chile) – and sadly a much loved film and music icon is lost due to an accident.
Global terrorism is all too present in 2010 with several failed attempts to create further atrocities diverted, but consequently our travel plans will be affected once again.
2010 represents a time when we shall open up our eyes widely to these changes and wonder how we managed to live without all these new, bright and fascinating developments. 2010 is also a time for contemplation and consideration of how this decade will fulfil desires, material gains and provide stability into the long-term.
2010 is a favourable time to initiate and integrate personal and professional plans and to step out of the comfort zone and aspire to fulfilling your best potential and ambitions.
