My Native American guide No-Name is very excited today, as it is a full moon day and what’s more it’s in Aries. The Five Great Native American Nations celebrated this moon as the Harvest Moon.
As we have passed through the Autumn Equinox and Mercury has stationed from its retrograde course, now moving direct swiftly through the heavens – this is an ideal time of the year when we can boldly consider what we have set in motion this year and determine how to complete our tasks before the darkness of the Winter descends.
This full Moon is referred to as a Harvest Moon because it rises very close to the time of sunset and the light of this Moon was used to bring in the autumn crops of corn, wild rice, pumpkin, squash and beans and often appears to be golden or fiery in the sky…it is a time when we work hard to make sure we are prepared for the Winter.
The fire in Aries evokes the desire to start on a new adventure and travel lightly along the way, letting go, setting aside “any baggage” that would weigh you down and feeling that breathless excitement of what can be achieved.
There is plenty of Moon Magic around, so a very good time for socialising and spreading your warmth and enthusiasm around., yet feeling a sense of balance to the give and take of these encounters. This Moon can infuse you with energy and vitality and renew your faith to focus on what is important to you and how to identify and achieve your wishes and desires, whatever they are.
The fiery energy of the Aries Full Moon is a gift to us – a time when we can invite the Universe to hear our Cosmic Orders through our intentions, actions and meditations.
It represents vitality and initiation which encourages us to take action at this auspicious time. The warmth of the Aries fire is healing, so it is also a great time to “sit round the fire” with your friends. But for those of us who are pioneers, this is a time when the Aries Full Moon can ignite the edgy restlessness to want to do more and be more.
This can be a very productive time when we can dig deep for the strength to make fundamental changes and take important steps along the way to achieve your goals, so that by the Spring there is an unveiling of all that has been quietly created.
