THE POWER OF AFFIRMATIONS
Affirmations are not given the credit they rightly deserve. Many people make fun of them and belittle their power. Used correctly affirmations are extremely powerful and can literally change your life.
The term affirmation means to “make firm”. Ensure you phrase your affirmation in the present moment as if you are already achieving what it is you want. For example if you are overweight your affirmation may be, “I am so happy and grateful I am now a healthy and vibrant size 12”.
Your affirmation should be worded so that when you say the phrase it excites you. It should feel good to repeat strong, powerful words.
Your affirmation should be believable to you. You have to believe that it is possible. It should stretch your comfort zones but still excite you.
If for example you are 100K in debt and you want to have a million dollars your subconscious mind will not believe you if you say that you are a millionaire.
For these types of situations it’s best to take baby steps and have many affirmations for different stages of your goal.
Some people like to have an end date for their goal to manifest by. They say that without a deadline it is just a dream and not a goal. Other people disagree saying the affirmation will manifest in its own time when you are ready to accept and receive it.
So do whichever feels best for you. There is no right and wrong. Just whatever works for you. Writing down your affirmation is a good way to engrain it into your subconscious. You know you have got to your subconscious when it is running through your head without consciously thinking about it.
Have fun with your affirmations. Joy is a powerful attracting factor.
